Insoles Fooked

I have had my insoles for less than 2 weeks and already I have knackered one pair. I put them in my work shoes which really needed replacing but couldn't afford to until pay day. I pulled the insole that was in them out, I checked to see if the base was sticky first but it appeared OK. Yet after they had been in a day, they had stuck in the shoes. I eventually got them out with half of the shoes still stuck to them. I tried to clean them as best as possible and wore a different pair of shoes today with the cleaned up insoles but there was still some glue int he bottom as after a day on my feet, they have stuck solid in this pair of shoes. I can't see them coming out without damaging them. So thats another £50+ down the drain. Just as well I got 2 pairs :-(
