Just read about GeoTaggeer which fits onto a camera's flash shoe and records your precise location (GPS) and the direction you are facing. Then you will always know where a picture was taken. I thought about this years ago and sites like flickr already support storing the location a photo was taken.
When this is built into all digital camera it will be excellent, although the draw back is it wont work indoors for the GPS co-ordinates.
If you look at the demo it shows how it over-lays it onto google maps.
