I am sitting here trying to decide whether to go for a run or not. The balls of my feet are really hurting. I could run through it, which isn't a problem. I just don't want to make them any worse, when the Great North Run is only 4 weeks away. Where I am intending to run is probably 8 miles all on the road. They have been hurting the last few days but stumped as to what to do for the best.
I need to get as much running in as possible but don't want to go out and make them even worse and end up missing even more days training than I would of done if I had spent a couple of days resting.
I think the shoes I have been wearing for work have caused the problem with both pairs I have worn being old and worn. I will see if I can buy some new shoes tomorrow in Durham, hopefully that will fix it.
This is annoying, looking out of the window and actually wanting to run for a change. I am more fired up than normal after reading an article on the BBC website about a girl who loves to exercise but can't very easily because she has Cystic Fibrosis and needs a double lung and heart transplant. It makes me realise just how lucky I am and should enjoy what I have and can do.
