Distance: 3.2 miles
I went for a walk to the shop to get some milk in my running shoes to see how my feet felt and they were fine. So when I got back decided to go for a run.
I said the other day when I went for a run that I didn't feel right, I didn't feel quite that bad today but still not back to normal. For some reason whenever I set off running down towards Crook I always run too fast and I never get my pace right afterwards. So I struggled running up the deerness valley walk section again. It is steep but I need to keep tackling it, its no good running just on the flat.
I had hoped to run along the top from Stanley to Sunniside but when I got to Stanley it was very windy. It would of been an absolute nightmare, the wind was blowing staight towards me and would be hard enough walking it. So decided just to make it a short run and run down Billy Row bank. I ended up running quite fast down the bank and back into Roddymoor.
I think this may be a good idea to run a long route one day then a shorter route the next day but at a faster pace. I was dripping when I got in.
