Part 3
I have now switched to the laptop and made some hot chocolate, which tastes very nice. I really am relaxing this afternoon. The music has been switched to Future Chill, which someone at work gave me because it wasn't their sort of music (excellent CD).
This the third post in the last day with pictures of hot drinks stuff. Oh, just gonna check the lottery numbers to see if I have to bother getting up for work in the morning or not....shite I will have to get up in the morning, only had 2 numbers.
I am now so relaxed that I can't remember why I started writing on the blog in the first place, it obviously wasn't anything exciting or important (it never is).
I suppose I could write about some of the stuff from this week, I've hardly posted anything recently. I am going to try to stick to some things over the next couple of weeks. Anyone who reads this regularly will know I am always making lists of stuff to do and you will also know that I normally forget about them after a day or so and move onto something else. Today I am going to try to plan some stuff for the next couple of weeks in the run up to my week off work.
The main thing has to be fitness, I have more or less had an entire month off since the Great North Run, I have only done one run, granted it was the fastest time ever but still shit and I have started to put some weight back on, so need to halt that before I start back down the slippery slope. My aim is to be fitter than I was for the Great North Run for the 16th of November, that is just under 3 weeks away. Which may not be long but shouldn't be too hard to achieve if I get off my arse from tomorrow and actually do some exercise. I'm going off walking on that day with Julie who I used to work with years ago. I don't want to feel really unfit on the day, so that's my aim!
I need to keep tighter reigns on my money this month as well, last month has been very difficult for a number of reasons. I was owed money from people at work for concert tickets which I finally got on Friday night, was ridiculous that it took them 6 weeks to finally pay me. That was only after I told them how skint I was and couldn't afford to go out. Going to Teesside has also hit me really hard with the amount of petrol I have had to use and paying for parking and stuff like that. I was angry this week and still am after finding out how much more Teesside employees get paid in travel expenses. If I was employed there I would get £19 a month more lump sum and 9p a mile more. I have raised this and am very tempted to say I am not going anymore until the H.R. issues are addressed. I am fed up of doing things and not even knowing the final outcomes because decisions haven't been made. It's getting beyond a joke how long it's taking, this should of been sorted out before I ever set foot in the place to work there. I should find out in the next 2 weeks how much I am supposed to be paid afer the pay review and hopefully know more about what's happening with my units merger with Teesside. If I am not happy with either or don't find out any details in that timescale I am going to actively seek other employment. I can't go on any longer like I am and it's unfair to expect me and others to do so.
I have gone from being chilled out and happy to angry thinking about work, so going to stop writing on here and lay back and try to relax but think my brain will start working over time thinking about work and the hassles there. This is why I want things sorted NOW. I can't switch off anymore from work :-(
